Many highlights of the route simply stand outdoors. Sveti Florijan has watched over the town in full Baroque glory since 1745, flames at his feet. The climb along the castle hill rewards you with the silhouette of Ptuj Castle, throned above the Drava for more than a thousand years, and with wide views over the river. By the water, the Drauturm, the medieval river tower, still stands its ground. Even the facades of the Regional Museum Ptuj Ormož — housed in a former monastery — and of the Galerija mesta Ptuj are worth a look from outside.
